When in Rome

Take a look at the sunrise from this morning - no filter!!  This view + 2 cups of coffee = only reason in the world it's worth it to get up at such an ungodly hour.

Glad I slaved all weekend finishing a book so I could start on my presentation, only to realize it hinges on two important critical essays that are about a million pages each.  **sigh**  So guess what I spent all afternoon doing?  And I'm still not done.

But then we watched the Season Finale of Downton Abbey and it's so, so good!  Watch it immediately!

And now I'm back to it.  Just as soon as I finish this procrastinatory (that's a word, just go with it) post.

So, living in Colorado.  I'm not sure if it's a Western thing or a pop culture thing or a modern design trend thing, but various accoutrements with antlers?  Kind of popular.  Kind of all over the place.  Now, I'm from the South and am so not a fan of anything that could be described as...how shall we say...redneck.  Rhinestones and denim together?  No.  Anything with camouflage on it?  No.  Wearing tracksuits and sparkly jewelry (together) to the mall?  I'll pass.  Saying the occasional "y'all"?  Ok, guilty.

But.

Look what I finally broke down and bought.

A faux antler candle holder.  {pause for your outraged gasp}  {it's ok, let it out, I kind of don't blame you}  {I'll give you a minute}

The front window needed something.  And as opposed as I have been to any additional brown and/or cream colors in the house, I bought this puppy.  Just needed it.  I think Denver is in my blood.

That is all.

Don't judge.
