We Heart Denver

You gotta love February in Denver.  We may get snow in random months like October, and April, and May...but we get dazzling pockets of spring-like weather in the middle of winter.  Yesterday it was sunny and in the 60's.  We took advantage and explored the Cherry Creek Reservoir.

It was so nice outside that I wore short sleeves and G wore shorts.  Our skin was like, "What is this?  Sunshine?"

As you can see, most of the reservoir was frozen over.  We watched the geese walk across the water, and even a couple of dogs got out on it to try to figure it out.

See the little dots on the frozen water, to the far left of the picture?  Those are a few men out ice fishing.  All I had was my crappy phone camera, so I couldn't zoom in that well.

It was the perfect day for a walk, and it was really nice to get outside for a while.  No books, no homework, no sulky rabbit.  No TV, no chores, no budgeting, no tutoring prep.

Let's hear it for 3-day weekends!  I plan on staying in my pj's until I have to tutor later this afternoon!
