Fried Green Tomatoes, Superman & Clone Fever

Tried out a new brunch place today - yes, yes, and yesssssss - so tasty.

I was craving protein from our hike yesterday and I pulled a Gaston (think Disney's Beauty and the Beast), eating about 5 dozen eggs.

Let's take a moment to fully appreciate the wonder that was my brunch:  scrambled eggs with chives and parsley, topped with fried green tomatoes and kale chips, served alongside goat curd, a fresh salad, and toast.

With an appetizer:  buttermilk lemon scone with a strawberry infused cream cheese drizzle.  Yesssssss.

After about 47 errands to get Lucy's food and our groceries, we went to see Man of Steel.  Consensus:  Very good, too much action, nice back story, very science-fictiony (which isn't a bad thing).   If you're interested in Superman at all, this is a good one to see while it's in theaters.

Then we came home and like the addicts that we are, watched 2 more episodes of Orphan Black.  Now we only have 3 left, dangit I can't stand short seasons of good shows.  Meanwhile, Duck Dynasty probably runs year-round, it's so not fair.

It occurs to me that I should warn you: some of the show is a bit saucy - ok, some of it is quite, quite saucy.  That said, it's one of the best shows I've seen in some time - sort of a mix of Alias and the cylons from Battlestar Galactica.  It is clones gone wild and will keep you on the edge of your seat with suspense and humor.  So, so good.

Now we are gearing up for another work week {insert colossal sigh here} and bunny sitting this one, who has now trashed the best room in our entire apartment.

I guess it's time to move.
