I May Have Spoken Too Soon

Remember a few days ago when I confidently touted that my life is now together and running like a well-oiled machine?  Or something along those lines?  Yeah.  I was wrong about that.

My mom?  On top of things?  Mwahahahahaha!  Au contraire!

School:  The good news is that I somehow miraculously nailed the honkin' presentation I had.  The bad news is that I did not nail the accompanying paper.  Mostly because I - along with the rest of the class, apparently - just totally could not understand one of the critical essay arguments.  Luckily (and I'm being sarcastic here) I get the spectacular opportunity to rewrite the paper.  Guess what I'll be doing all of spring break?

Work:  Things are going really well with my honkin' workload of two students to tutor!  Also, I attended a birthday party today for a friend of a friend of G's nerdy group and guess what?  I may have a new student!  No complaints about the day job, either, other than having to get up way too early every day.  It's indecent.  It's just not right.

Hobbies?  What hobbies?:  Then there was the time that I thought we didn't have another supper club event until April.  Then I got a friendly reminder that there's one next week.  And I'm supposed to host it.  At my house.  And serve the main dish, etc.

Fun!:  But that's OK because look who we went and saw this week!

More fun!:  Another hike planned for tomorrow.  Taking advantage of the awesome CO weather before it inevitably starts snowing again.

Reading for fun:  What's that?  I started a book in another lifetime and haven't managed to finish it yet.  I was going to do that over spring break, but now can't (reference the School item above).

What is this, water?  How about some of that red juice in a big box that Mom is always drinking?  Classy!

I did manage to finish a paper today and am totes enjoying The Great Gatsby.  Such a good book!  I forget it's homework!
