Getting Ready

Thank God for Daylight Savings Time and the extra hour that it brings over the fateful weekend.  But it's like 6:30 p.m. and it feels like the middle of the night.  I keep yawning and making moves to go to bed, but not even I can swing it that early.  We are in the dark season now, friends.  But that's OK because it's almost time to put up lots of holiday lights!

Finally, finally, we are having some work done in the library tomorrow.  We moved stuff out of the way so the contractors can work, and both started hyperventilating because the resulting chaos reminds us of the 100 recent moves we've made.

The library awaits a facelift.  Say goodbye to that crappy window.

We are high stepping around our own crap…yet again.  This feels all too familiar.

Lucy is no help.

There are lots of things to get ready for this week: Literary Society (!), registering for the Spring semester (!), and dinner with The Russkie at a place that specializes in margaritas(!).

Plus, there are Thanksgiving decorations up.  And leaves flying off the trees.  And snow flurries predicted for later this week.  And I baked fresh carrot spice muffins - full speed ahead on my goal to make our house more "homier."  Does that make me a homey?

Can you believe November is here?
