Summertime, and the livin' is ... hot.
But! We got to hang out with Nat King Cole and Chef Campo last night, and you know what that means. FOOD! Gourmet, delicious, to-die-for FOOD.
He made Camarones Ala Diabla that made my heart sing. Devil shrimp have never tasted so heavenly, I'll tell you that.
My contribution was a cherry pie. Hey, I do what I can.
The calories from dinner pretty much balanced out the ones I burned on this week's hike in RMNP - 9 miles, done and done. The weather was atrocious, as usual. :)
Not to toot my own horn or anything, but I'm pretty steady on my feet. Of all the physical shortcomings I possess, lack of motor skills isn't one of them. But I may or may not have halfway fallen into a muddy swamp along the trail. So...this happened.
Today is supposed to be sweltering, yet again. I contemplated going for a morning bike ride and then chuckled to myself and poured a cup of coffee. I'm reading the world's best book - review to come soon!
Happy Sunday!
