Stuck Between a Nerd and an Ingrate

Here's a peek into nights at dawrighthouse:

G nerds out, Lucy scowls at us, and I pause House of Cards just long enough to capture the moment. (Really, I pause it to see how much more time is left in the episode - sometimes the ending catches me off guard and I'm forced to watch another episode.)

Progress Report:

The Dreaded Syllabi - they are coming along quite nicely, thank you very much. I know you thought I was going to whine about my lack of progress, but no, no, no. As long as I work on it, I keep the pre-semester nightmares at bay. So that means all kinds of progress.

The Dreaded Louisiana Swampland Back Yard Work: Check and check. I'm averaging 1-2 hours of work every day, which means I've covered about 2 square feet. <sigh>

Weekly Hikes: All scheduled! I'll cover about 15 miles in the next few days, Lord help me.

Today I will come close to finishing my House of Cards binge and my latest book. Everybody hold on. It's getting pretty crazy over here.
