She frequents a certain fast food joint every day for lunch. This doesn't bother me in the least because at her age, with all she has done and been through, what's a little more grease? I mean, really? The other day she noticed a woman watching her and, long story short, they chatted and the woman promptly invited her to church. The church seems very upstanding (not a cult or freakshow) but that isn't even the point of the story. The point is that Gama is not an overly trusting woman, but when it comes to church invitations, she is Miss Chatty Pants all of a sudden.
Here's the difference between me and Gama:
(1) The woman asked her if she lived in town and Gama said yes. I would have lied (sin!) because I am suspicious and don't trust people farther than I can throw them and just automatically assume they're out to stalk me and then rob me blind.
(2) The woman then asked her what church she goes to, and Gama answered. I would have said, and I quote, "I appreciate your effort, but no thanks." Just to get her off my back.
I am such. a. sinner.
Not to mention a horribly unsociable troll. (Maybe Lucy comes by it honestly?)
Lost the source for this...but haaaaaaaa (thanks, A-peep). |
Uh oh.
