Ode to Nora

I don't know if Nora reads my blog regularly, but she should (because I write about her daughters and Colorado stuff and books).

But at any rate, I'm dedicating this post to her; she is the unseen shadow behind my social life.  One of her daughters is BFJ and another is the hostest with the mostest of Literary Society, and so a lot of times I'm able to do something with one or the other because she is watching the kids or giving someone a ride.

This one's for you, Nora!

Tonight I showed Nat King Cole and Chef Campo the wonder that is Linger.  OMG the food.  The fooooooooood.  And the drinks.

The conversation rivaled the tasty treats and in hindsight I realize we should have played a drinking game while talking about G's nerd games.  One drink each time he says "table top" or "war" or "star".  A few minutes into that game and we all would be talking nerd speak.

I had a hair appointment earlier today, am going lighter.  Not sure if you can tell in this pic.

Why yes that IS our Africa thing-y in the background.  Proud of how that one turned out.

Lord help us, we have to take Lucy Loo (who has a loose screw) to the vet tomorrow where she will be boarded when we go on vacation.  It will not be fun.  None of us look forward to it.  It's not her usual vet (whom we L-U-V) so the whole experience is going to be nerve wracking.

Rest up, fatty.

I'm in my pj's and Big Bang Theory re-runs are playing in the background.  Time to squeeze the last few hours out of Saturday night.
