G had planned this weekend as a surprise happy-end-of-the-semester-and-also-HAPPY-ANNIVERSARY trip!
Again, I say, laaaaaaaaaaaaaa!
Here are a few shots of the resort where we're staying. Now this is the lifestyle I am meant to live on a daily basis. I'm sick of living in squalor.
This was the view from our window at SIX THIRTY this morning when I woke up. My brain is still in study mode and, try as I might, I can't shut it down. Oh, well! Guess I'll just stare at the mountains that surround "Ski Town U.S.A."
On the drive yesterday, we saw:
*deer
*a moose (!!!!!)
*antelope
*a wild turkey
*and a flock of mountain goats!
*elk
I kid you not:
I. am. loving. it. here. I know that I'm currently elated because school is over for a while, but also? It feels SO DANG GOOD TO BE ON A MINI VACAY! Auntie Cole is taking care of Lucy. We may just have to call her and tell her to take over permanently. We may never go back.
Here are some shots of our hotel room. We have a suite! And altogether it's bigger than our house. I kid you not.
The suite area connected to the bedroom. |
We ate a nice dinner downtown. It was so relaxing! By the fire! After such a long drive in which G was forced to listen to Katy Perry while I sang along.
There is so much more to tell, but first, I must take a nap. Who in their right mind gets up at 6:30 when they don't have to?
Looks bigger than my house too!
